Caring For Your Jewellery.

All of our jewellery at Auclair is created from durable materials that can last a lifetime with proper care and attention. Here are some tips to help keep your jewellery looking its best:

  • Store your jewellery properly: To prevent scratches and damage, store your jewellery in a soft pouch or jewellery box. Separating each piece individually can also help prevent tangling or scratching.

  • Clean your jewellery regularly with a soft cloth or gold polishing cloth. Avoid using abrasive or harsh cleaning agents as they can damage the surface and it may tarnish.

  • Avoid exposing your jewellery to harsh chemicals: Contact with harsh chemicals such as perfume, hairspray, and cleaning agents can damage the surface of your jewellery. So, it's important to avoid wearing your jewellery while using these products.

  • Take care when handling your jewellery: It's important to handle your jewellery with care to prevent scratches and damage. Avoid wearing jewellery while doing activities that may damage it, such as gardening or cleaning.

  • Remove your gold jewellery before swimming or bathing. Chlorine and salt water can cause damage and discolouration to your jewellery. So, it's best to remove your jewellery before swimming or bathing. This is especially important with sterling silver.

  • If your jewellery is Yellow Gold Plated, we do not recommend you wear this daily, as this will cause tarnishing. Gold-plated rings should be used carefully and should be removed while using anything abrasive or any strong cleaning products.

By following these simple tips, you can keep your jewellery looking as beautiful and stunning as the day you first received it. Taking care of your jewellery not only ensures that it looks its best, but also helps to preserve its value and sentimental meaning for years to come.
